Questions
How much CPF do I pay?
From 1 January 2026, employees aged 55 and below pay 20% of their monthly wage and employers add 17%, on wages up to the S$8,000 Ordinary Wage ceiling. Older workers pay less: 18% above 55 to 60, 12.5% above 60 to 65, 7.5% above 65 to 70 and 5% above 70.
What is the CPF wage ceiling in 2026?
S$8,000 a month for Ordinary Wages, up from S$7,400 in 2025. There's no CPF on monthly pay above it. Bonuses count as Additional Wages, under a separate ceiling of S$102,000 a year minus your Ordinary Wages for the year.
Is CPF tax-deductible?
Yes. Your own compulsory CPF contributions are deducted from your income before tax (CPF relief), along with the Earned Income Relief of up to S$1,000, S$6,000 from 55 or S$8,000 from 60.
Do foreigners pay CPF?
No. CPF applies to Singapore citizens and permanent residents. Foreign employees on Employment Passes or S Passes don't contribute, so their take-home is salary minus income tax only. PRs pay lower graduated rates in their first two years.
